If an individual eats the wrong type of food or does not chew their food enough before swallowing it or if a person eats a meal in a hurry and gulps a large amount of air, they may experience a resulting symptom known as gas. The ginger can be added to one’s diet or simply chew a piece of fresh ginger. One other method of utilizing ginger is to shred a few pieces of this home remedy into a glass of water. Like tea, once the liquid has drawn, simply strain out the ginger fiber and drink the liquid. For taste one can add a teaspoon of honey. This can be done twice a day. Another home remedy is through the use of mixing sodium bicarbonate and a glass of water and drinking the mixture.
An additional home remedy is asafetidea. In addition to minimizing flatulence and gas, this remedy has been known to help in the reduction of stomach cramps. A simple pinch of this substance to a glass of buttermilk will help relieve gas in the chest area.
Coriander seed is another home remedy product that has been shown to be effective in releasing trapped gas in the chest. Simply chew on a few coriander seeds after the ingestion of a meal to release any stomach casts.
Other practical measures or home remedies would include the commitment to avoid overeating, drinking green tea with a dissolved half teaspoon of cinnamon and avoid known foods that are gas producing. One such food item would be broccoli.
