If you can take the taste of apple cider vinegar you can speed up your recovery. The acidity of the vinegar is a powerful tool in eliminating inflammations. It can cut through excess phlegm and begin healing your dry throat.
If all else fails you can try garlic, slippery elm or fenugreek. Garlic is a common item used in cooking that you can easily get your hands on. Adding it to foods you like could help. The other two items can be picked up at a health food store; add them to warm water and sip on the slowly.
